Meet Jim

I grew up in south Florida, in Jupiter and Juno Beach area.  That was a great place to grow up, it had a “small town feel”. That was the feel I got when I first came to Gilmer County 14 years ago.  Much like the little town I grew up in, there were very few buildings taller than 2 stories.  The majority of business’ were “mom & pop” owned, not large corporations or franchises.  I knew I found a place where my 2 children, Julie and Jeff, could grow up, in a Mayberry feel.

     I moved to Gilmer when my son started 1^st grade, and now he is a senior at Gilmer County High School. I am so grateful I was able to move out of a very populated area to a small town, so they could grow up with “small town” values.

 I enjoy most everything about Ellijay.  The beauty of the mountains & wilderness areas speak for themselves.  The rivers and creeks provide countless summertime days with rafting and fishing for all ages.

     Gilmer is at the population of Approximately 33 thousand and growing. Now is the time to buy land with a great view,  or on the river or bordering the national forest, because most desirable land goes first as we saw in Florida, with waterfront properties being bought not just for the beauty, but for the investment.

   I really enjoy getting out and showing homes and property while developing new friendships.
